Born in Hong Kong. Hang’s work represents a reflection to her psyche, power and memories. Her works explores the constant struggle and battle against the mundane world through the recurring motif of a crying protagonist, with tears overflowing the painting. A cute, animal-like protagonist, devoid of identity and gender, expressing artist’s rejection to the societal inequity, often stands in front a vibrant and intense landscape. Through the interplay of light and dark colors, her works guide viewers to reflect on and deconstruct the societal norms that have shaped our past, present, and future.
Hang has exhibited her work in Asia, North America and Europe.
